Helping clients develop healthy relationships with themselves. Therapy is trauma-informed, allowing clients and therapists to approach working together collaboratively to see their inner strengths. Work will focus on changing specific thoughts and reactions that can keep clients stuck in tough times.

Teresa Guzman is a clinical social worker who prides herself with working with underprivileged youth and adults in special need populations such as homelessness, human trafficking, and juvenile delinquency. With over 10 years of experience in social services, she has assisted clients in gaining mastery over their personal traumatic experiences and has advocated for change in order to assist victims of crime.

Currently, she is working with individuals and families in developing healthy relationships in order to promote optimum health. She uses evidence-based techniques such as trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing. Ms. Guzman is poised in endorsing growth and mobilizing agents of change at various levels. She teaches at a local university’s School of Social Work and has participated as a field supervisor with various universities.

Ms. Guzman has a Master of Social Work degree and Master of Science degree in Criminal Justice with a specialization in Criminal Investigation. She is currently licensed with the state of Florida to provide mental health counseling and is completing her Doctorate degree in Social Work.
